Lucy and Labor to make notorious Collinswood intersection safer

A notorious Collinswood intersection will be upgraded to a roundabout under a Malinauskas Labor Government, amid growing community concerns following multiple car crashes and near misses.

Labor will invest $200,000 to install the roundabout to fix the notorious and unsafe intersection at Howard and Rosetta streets.

City of Prospect identified the area as an “accident blackspot” at a recent workshop, citing “continued vehicle crashes”.

Locals have reported speeding, collisions, and hoon driving through the intersection – one reported witnessing two car crashes in the space of two weeks – and have repeatedly asked for a solution to be found.

Together, with the community, Labor Candidate for Adelaide Lucy Hood has found a solution and advocated for a commitment to ensure the delivery of a safer intersection.

This community should not have to feel unsafe or scared of passing through a notoriously troubling intersection.

That is why a Malinauskas Labor Government will fix this issue.

Safety concerns surrounding this intersection have been raised with me time and time again, locals want this fixed.

I believe in the importance of not just showing up but following up and providing solutions.

Upgrading to a roundabout will not only slow traffic down, but make our community feel safer.
